After total deadening of the car, there will be much less road noise. Plastic sqeeks will disapper, rain dropps will be less notisable. Usually the noise leved decreses up to 2-3 time at a speed of 100 kph.
BRONZE, VESPA, SPIDER, VIPER and COBRA deadening mats are mastic mats and are installed without heating them. The temperature should be +15C and above.
EXTREME-series deadening mats should be heated up to +50C, because they are made of 2 layers: mastic and bitumen. Bitumen is very rigid material and must be heated before installation.
Your goal is to get the best result possible. This requires right installation using right products in the right places. There are places in the car with moisture (floor, outer layer of the door) and you need to use products that don’t absorb water, otherwise a goal of making your car better will lead to an opposite result.
Vibration deadening mats are used as first layer. Depending on the place, you choose the right thickness of the mat. The noisier the place and the thicker the metal of the car is – the thicker should be the mat. We recommend to use BRONZE 2, VESPA and COBRA mats of doors, door cards, hood, trunk lid, roof. For the floor and wheel arches we advice SPIDER, VIPER and 4,2 mm ATOM BOMB. For a better result use EXTREME 3,5 and 6 mm mats. For the trunk – BRONZE 4, SPIDER, VIPER. Of course, having special requirement will lead to using thicker mats in some places.
Unlike our competitors, we have vibration deadening mats with thickness from 2 to 8 mm. If you are into SQ, SQL or SPL – our super rigid EXTREME series mats with double foil bitumen and mastic composition can help you achieve great result on your sound competition car.
Noise isolators and noise absorbers are the second layer. Isolators block the noise coming from the road, car suspension and traffic. Absorbers don’t let the noise spread in your car. For the outer layer of the door you need INTEGRA isolator (6mm membrane type material, consists of 2 layers), for the door card – SOFT WAVE 15 or SOFT WAVE EXPERT 15. For the roof – SKYLINE isolator (7 mm membrane type material, consists of 2 layers). Adding a noise absorber of top of SKYLINE will make the result even better. For the floor and wheel arches – BLOCKSHOT isolator (8 mm membrane type material, consists of 2 layers). If you want best results, you need to use TITAN (8mm) as second layer. This is the best noise isolation formula on the market right now! Use RAPTOR 4mm for tight places.

Yes, you do. All metal and plastic surfaces must be cleaned before applying deadening mats.
Before applying 2nd/3rd layer, clean the previous layer.
NB!!! dont use WHITE SPIRIT to clean metal !
Honestly, no. There are still things you cannot change about the car:
– the stiffness of the car body
– window seals
Conclusion: you can make your car much quiter, but there is a limit.
The difference is in the mastic and foil thickness.
BRONZE foil is 60 microns.
VESPA/SPIDER – 100 microns.
COBRA/VIPER – 120 microns.
Sound deadening installation does not change car parts and electrics. But you should always ask your car dealer about the warranty. Avoid bad installers, as they can damage your car.
